Called Home-Studio Baithaks, they feature relatively young performers who get to present their work solo in an intimate setting to a select audience. Since the baithaks began, they have featured dancers and musicians including Suhail Bhan, Ashish Gangani, Mohit Gangani, Minhaz, Sooraj Subramaniam, Aamrapali Bhandari and Faraz Ahmed.

Deepak Kurki Shivaswamy and Manju Sharma (L), and Sunny Shishodiya (R)

The third such baithak will be held on Saturday, 7 April, and will feature two exciting performers. One is a solo act - Kathak dancer Sunny Shishodiya, who is a part of the Drishtikon repertory as well. Sunny is a dynamic dancer and his Kathak has the energy and vitality typical of Aditi's tutelage. His powerful Kathak solo is sure to be a treat for discerning viewers.

The other is a contemporary duo - Deepak Kurki Shivaswamy and Manju Sharma. They are both dancers and choreographers who have done varied work. Deepak has worked with dancers in India and Europe and studied choreography is Austria. Manju has learnt several forms of dance and yoga, and worked in Bollywood, reality shows and teaching.

Their performances are at 6pm at the Drishtikon studio in Sainik Farms. For more details on donor passes, visit http://www.aditimangaldasdance.com/the-dance-company.php?p=content-other-activities.php.
